Individualized Instruction
St. Philip’s adheres to The Creative Curriculum in each of its programs. Teachers and staff develop an individualized care program for each child. Children’s developmental progress is assessed every three months. Teachers meet with parents every three months.
Mental & Physical Health Assessments
St. Philip’s has an ongoing relationship with local organizations Healthy Futures, Early Stages and Strong Start, which train our staff in children’s social and emotional development how to manage difficult classroom behavior, and how to identify whether a referral for intervention services is warranted. Through Early Futures, a mental health professional comes once a week and works with staff, students and families to mitigate the early onset of mental health concerns for the students. Additionally, home visits are scheduled to work with the families to help create a healthy and stable environment. This type of early detection is a critical intervention tool and provides ongoing therapeutic methods to help the students and their families move forward.
Additionally, with parental approval, St. Philip’s arranges for onsite mobile dental and health clinics to examine and treat children.
