St. Philip’s Child Development Center

provides early childhood education for the Anacostia community in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are a licensed provider of exceptional infant care and early childhood education. In March 2013, St. Philips became nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in both infant care and early childhood education. Additionally, our program serves the entire family by offering guidance in parenting skills, nutrition, child development and appropriate responsive behavior. We look forward to working with your family as we continue to give to the heart of our community – our children.

"...numerous studies show benefits from preschool education that carry over into the first years of school and even well into adulthood. These benefits include both increased academic achievement and school success as well as improved social-emotional development as demonstrated by such non-cognitive skills as persistence and self-control, which have long-term implications for future success in school and in life.”
